One Reddit user has compiled all of the known cosmetic items within Fortnite into one handy chart. This includes different types of pickaxes, costumes for characters, emotes, and more. The user was even kind enough to sort the items by rarity as well.
Putting all of these items into one chart shows players that there are about 234 cosmetics that are available or were available at some point, but that number will continue to grow, as Fortnite is constantly updating and having events depending on the season and what is happening in game.
Check out the chart below:
Another Reddit user calculated out how much getting all of this gear would cost and it’s just as expensive as one would imagine. The user calculated that the total cost for everything would be about 143,000 v-bucks. Converting that number into actual US Dollars would equal out to be about $1,070, which definitely seems like a lot of money. However, these items are cosmetic only and do not affect the game in any way, so players do not have to participate in purchasing these items if they do not want to.
Fortnite seems to be climbing the ranks in popularity, as it has now moved from consoles and PC to mobile platforms as well. Players could sign up for an invite to play the game on iOS and Epic Games, Fortnite’s developer, has announced that an Android version is coming soon as well. The iOS version is out at the moment, but only limitedly because only those players who signed up for the preview. Hopefully, the iOS version will be fully available for all sooner rather than later, but for now, Epic Games seems content with the early access game being one of the most popular apps in the App Store.
Epic Games even has the ambition to have Fortnite become cross-platform for PS4 and Xbox One, but that is dependent on the console manufacturers. As of right now, the game is (or will be) only cross-play between Xbox and every other non-Sony platform, or vice versa.
Fortnite seems to have a lot going for it and players can’t get enough of everything the game has to offer, especially within the online community making content like this chart of every customizable item in game and with all the other fanmade content as well. One can only imagine that this kind of response was one that Epic Games was hoping for when releasing Fortnite and something that they hope to continue.
Fortnite is available now in early access for iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with Android support coming later in 2018.
