While not every rumor can be taken as fact, most of the Battlefield 6 leaks have come from reputable sources like Tom Henderson. On top of this, some of the early info is all-but-guaranteed to be accurate, as it includes actual sound and imagery from the game. As such, for those keeping up with all the Battlefield 6 news, it is possible to have a vague idea of how the game could look and feel when it releases at the end of the year.

Battlefield 6 Trailer Leaks

Thus far, there have been a few substantial trailer leaks for Battlefield 6. First, two screenshots from the debut footage have appeared online. In one, gamers get an overhead view of a lush green island, with Osprey helicopters flying overhead. In the other, a rocket can be seen as a player pilots a jet. The HUD can be seen, too, with a mini-map in the bottom left corner and four different firing options displayed in the bottom right. Alongside these images, actual audio from Battlefield 6’s trailer has appeared on the internet. Showing up in two segments, the entirety of the trailer’s sound has shown up online.

Rumored Battlefield 6 Trailer Details

Players have also gotten more insight into the trailer from leaker Tom Henderson. An industry insider that has been proven right on several occasions, Henderson believes a desert map will be shown in the reveal. While he does not specify the location it was inspired by, he does believe it will be an island of some kind. The leaker also believes a crash-landing feature will be shown, citing a moment where an Osprey lands on some soldiers before the pilot disembarks. Lastly, Henderson claims there will be a moment in the trailer where a rocket explodes, with the metal debris killing some unlucky soldiers below.

A Battle Royale Mode And SBMM

While it has not officially been confirmed, several leaks have indicated that Battlefield 6 will have a battle royale mode of some kind. Though the battle royale mode will supposedly not debut until after Battlefield 6’s launch, similar to Call of Duty: Warzone, it does supposedly exist. With the game’s multiplayer maps all battle royale-sized, there is a chance that each could be molded into a battle royale map. Vehicles are also a defining feature of the series’ gameplay, so how exactly DICE keeps them balanced will be interesting to see. If the mode does happen, it will be interesting to see how it handles skill-based matchmaking. With multiplayer’s SBMM rumored to be team-based, a different balancing style would need to be used.

The Robot Dog And Battlelog’s Comeback

Perhaps the weirdest rumor about the game is the supposed addition of Battlefield 6’s robot dog. A piece of equipment that makes sense with the game’s apparent near-future setting, this drone’s role is unclear — though leaker Tom Henderson is adamant that it will play a role. A separate rumor suggests that Battlelog will be making a comeback, with the hype fueled by the Twitter account randomly becoming active again earlier this year. With the detailed stats, clan mechanics, and forums provided by the service being well received, it would be nice to see it return.

The Hub Game Rumor And Battlefield 6’s Name

While Battlefield 6’s main setting is supposedly like Battlefield 3’s, one leak suggests that the game will be a hub for the entire series. While the source is questionable, it is certainly an interesting concept, as it would see Battlefield fans loading into different playlists for different eras. A Battlefield 1942 playlist would include that games mechanics, weapons, and maps, while a Battlefield: Bad Company playlist would do the same. Supposedly, some playlists would see the eras crossing over as well. While it is unlikely, it would explain the leaked title of “Battlefield,” as a number would not make sense with such a feature.

Expanded Destruction Mechanics

Other leaks have indicated that Battlefield 6’s destruction will be far more than a gimmick, with a major impact on gameplay seen instead. Apparently, entire cities will be destructible, with players able to demolish the entirety of the area. Further, one of Tom Henderson’s biggest points has been about the impact of natural disasters on gameplay. Supposedly, tornados, sandstorms, volcanos, and monsoons will be seen on certain maps, with the weather greatly altering each map’s terrain.

The End Of Faction-Based Multiplayer And Campaigns

Another interesting Battlefield 6 leak both makes sense of and disputes the World War 3 rumor, as gamers will supposedly see soldiers from around the world fighting alongside America or Russia. The game’s story will supposedly see the United States and Russia willing to pay anyone to fight for them, allowing for a diverse lineup of soldiers on either side. This could easily allow for an Operator system like the one from the Call of Duty series, with more personality added to the playable soldiers. However, this narrative the game will apparently only impact multiplayer, as leaks have claimed that Battlefield 6 will not feature a campaign.

A Next-Gen Only Launch And Xbox Game Pass

Finally, Battlefield 6 will supposedly be an entirely next-gen experience. By leaving the PS4 and Xbox One behind, gamers can expect to see the series reaching new heights in its visual fidelity. Not only would this make sense of the increased player count and complex destruction, but the game could be supported for a fair bit longer. With no sequel needed for some time, Battlefield 6 could play the long game. Fans could see this next-gen only release taking a games-as-a-service approach, with large content updates coming to the game at a regular pace over the next several years.

Alongside this rumor, Battlefield 6 may launch with Game Pass, instantly giving the game access to a large player base on Xbox platforms. While this too is unconfirmed, it is a solid strategy. After Battlefield 5’s shortcomings, giving so many gamers access to the new title could guarantee its success. With getting more eyes on the Battlefield brand likely taking priority over sales, this would certainly make sense. While it should be taken with a grain of salt like every other rumor and leak, Battlefield 6 is shaping up to be an interesting game.

Battlefield 6 is in development for unspecified platforms.
